The Head of Strategy is responsible for defining the overall strategic direction of the business, reports directly to the Commercial Banking CEO, and is a member of the Commercial Banking Operating Committee.

Job Description

We are seeking an Associate to help lead strategic thinking to address challenges critical to the Firm. The position represents an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to:

  • Apply structured problem-solving and design thinking to address top strategic priorities
  • Develop innovation solutions to transform the business model and product offering
  • Independently own and drive project workstreams, and lead stakeholder interactions
  • Mentor and help direct work of junior team members
  • Engage in broader team efforts, including recruiting, staffing, and performance management
  • Broaden network and capabilities in an environment of active coaching and mentorship, in order to advance to other roles within the company if desired

Specific capabilities required for the position include:
  • 1-3 years of experience with a premier strategy consulting firm or an internal strategy consulting / corporate strategy team
  • Demonstrated experience with consulting toolkit / broad range of analytical tools and problem-solving approaches
  • Strong client management and executive-level communication skills
  • Track record of demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
  • MBA or an advanced business degree from a top-tier program is preferred
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred
